Lessons of Friendship: Is It Real or Not?
Sometimes in my own head it feels like I purposely set up a friendship to fail. In some ways I definitely did, I can take ownership of that because the friend did exactly as I anticipated, and knowing that part of me feels responsible for helping push the wheel in motion. But they say insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. I had to push this wheel to confirm what I knew was already true. That our friendship had been over for awhile and I was simply being used because I didn’t want to end something I put so much of myself into.

After I published my book, I decided to donate a copy to my local library, mostly because why not and also I had just started working there and it seemed like a fun idea. So into circulation it went, and a new article was written and eventually it founds it way checked out.

I saw this on Facebook the other day and it is literally one of the most truthful things I have ever read. Because it is true.
Authors will pour their soul into trying to perfect their work— traditionally published authors will have a team aiding them, self published authors will be reliant of hiring people to aid them, or seeking free aid— but there is no such thing as perfection. There will always be an error, no matter how hard we try to have zero errors.

The truth of the matter is there isn’t a single book published that has been perfect. Even the great classics are known for wild errors, a wrong word, typos, misprints and even formatting errors. As much as I wish my memoir could have been perfect the truth is I am human, my editor is human, my proof readers are human and my book is not perfect.
