A few months ago I was contacted by a Canadian company about uploading images to use and making a fashion line with my photos. I confess I wasn’t sure my images were particularly good enough or interesting enough for such a thing but figured there’d be no harm and starting small and seeing what happens— after all it could work out really well.

In my third critique I found this image like two months ago on instagram and it called to me in such a way I was like ok I shall choose you. No, not because there is really anything wrong, in fact I really like this image and wanted to talk about they why.

Read MoreAfter watching the YouTube video on Sam Abell’s talk about The Life of a Photograph, I was inspired. I was also up until about 2 am in the morning watching it which made my brain start buzzing because I was so drawn to his talk. Are my images as a photographer on the same level as his? I am not sure but I do know the elements he talks about looking for to make are images I have done, perhaps not all the time but the images I have taken popped into my mind.

Well not natural, to her it didn’t matter how they achieved just that I could make the images based on the inspiration she has found. I added the natural because when working with horses sometimes it is the easiest and most efficient way to make the shot.
