So my 11th top image of 2024 is a self portrait. No, I do not hire others to take photographs of myself, I have the equipment and ability to get nearly everything I need by myself. Back in February I needed an updated headshot for a by-line for a column I was writing for a local paper.

Read MoreAs the year comes to a close so too does the fun horse shows at the Belmont County Fairgrounds. These are languid days of riders out playing with their horses in non-traditional classes such as panty hose races and egg and spoon.
Read MoreArguably one of the hardest things as an equine photographer who photographs at a lot of shows is growing bored by limited angles and options at arenas. Sometimes the best thing to light a spark is traveling to a new arena. For me I was lucky to have one open up little over an hour away from me that I was able to attend a show at last month.
