This year to ring in the New Year, I charged the camera, loaded the car, and trekked out to Grizzle Ridge for an early Barrel Jackpot which ended early enough for me to get home and start the editing process.
Read More2024 brought exciting things, the re-opening of Grizzle Ridge Arena, travel, equestrian sessions, and finally succeeding in having images to place in all the major contests. But the biggest positive was that Grizzle Ridge Arena is an indoor facility and that meant horse show season for me extended beyond good weather and into winter.

Read MoreMy first cattle sort was actually a two day event. The first day being the experienced drive and the second day being the “fun show” version.
I will say I loved the speed and agility of the competitors in the open but the length and size of the “fun show”. Perhaps because my body was just in pain, but also because it was a much, much shorter day in comparison to day one.

I will stand for hours even when my body aches and cries for me to get off hard ground, slip the camera bag off, and the camera and take a break. I put my all into covering events even when they are new because I want to surprise everyone with my images and surprise myself.
