I was watching a video with a photographer talking about why Photography is so hard to get into right now and I definitely agreed with everything he was saying. In fact if I was starting right now, I am not sure I would be a photographer which is saying a lot.
I really agreed with what he was talking about on the social media side of things. Years ago when Instagram first came on the scene beautiful photos was the draw but then the era of video and short video clips came on scene and things have changed. Photography and photos were left in the dust.
It is harder for us photorgraphers to make content quickly because of what a process it is. Or algorithms like TikTok show what we are interested in which means sometimes out work and content isn’t actually reaching our ideal clients.
