While the 4th of July has come and gone so to has the two day barrel race at Grizzle Ridge. This event marks the midway point of the summer horse show season which has come on so quickly.
The Red, White and Barrel Race had a great turn out and was a good time even if it was hot. Heat is the one constant of summer shows and this year we seem to have high heat indexes that are accompanied by heat warnings. This has lead to shows being pushed back and canceled for heat in addition to shows that are typically canceled for rain and unsafely wet arenas.
Anyways Grizzle’s two day had a Friday jackpot with live music to follow and then a full show with 50 horses on saturday. Check out a few of my favorite images from the show below.
