A couple months ago Facebook was kind enough to to bring an old venue and old images I had taken back into event goers minds and feeds via memories. Sometimes this a great thing at least as long I the photographer still has the images and their archives haven’t been corrupted… which sometimes happens especially when they are pretty old files.
For me this was an old file from a horse show taken so long ago the facility no longer exists and the images give me a cringe looking at them because of how much I have grown as a photographer. Usually old images of mine get shown around a good bit every year and as it were generate some sales from event goers who didn’t purchase back when they were first taken.
As a photographer it is great to have those sales and find out that even old and less than stellar work still resonants with participants enough to reach out and usually beg me to search my archives for these images. Anyways I just did that search and did find the images for my client and even though they aren’t my best it is great to see how far I have come.
