So as a professional photographer it is rare to have images of myself, rarer still to hire someone to take them, and perhaps it is even more rare to like images of myself.
So my 11th top image of 2024 is a self portrait. No, I do not hire others to take photographs of myself, I have the equipment and ability to get nearly everything I need by myself. Back in February I needed an updated headshot for a by-line for a column I was writing for a local paper.
So up goes the studio backdrop, the lights, camera set up. One goes the nice clothes and the smile for the numerous images to get 4-5 I liked enough to share with the world.
My 11th favorite image is a self portrait I decided to do with my custom Rodeo King Cowboy hat from Impression Designs. It is a fun shot, that shows nice clear few of my face, and even sneaks in a look at my tattoos to show my artist soul. This image was a fun marketing one that represents me as a equine photographer and makes me feel good about myself which a great photo has the power to do!
