First Viral Image

So yesterday I was just sitting at home like everyone else, bored, nothing to do. Laid off from my part time position and in an in-between stage from a new position I was waiting to start (starting during a pandemic is not the right time.) I wasn’t really thinking much about my photography either because well a lot of clients have canceled or my events canceled. About the only thing I was truly waiting on is the foals of 2020 to hit the ground so I can take some adorable baby pictures— still waiting.

So today as I re-read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets while watching Grey’s Anatomy in the background I decided to take a break and scroll my facebook feed mindlessly. During that scrolling I caught sight of an image that was surprisingly familiar, and old.

My image of a cowboy praying before the start of a rodeo about a 8-10 years ago.

The above inspirational meme and what I saw and my image was being used as the visual. I never really imagined that would ever happen so I was surprised, shocked, and truly kind of honored. I had never heard of the page that shared it, an Ohio Horse Rescue page I follow reshaped it which is how I eventually saw it.

I truthfully haven’t thought about this image in years. The last time I did was back when I started my pinterest page and shared it there. Now it has a lot of re-pins on pinterest so I knew it was popular to a degree and that was exciting, but I truly never expected to see it appear like this.

The shares on facebook amaze me!

So the thing is those who posted this have no idea who I am, or that I took the image and that’s ok. I am not upset that I was never credited or that it isn’t known I took the image. It is cool that I know and many who know me know.

It’s a great message during this difficult time so I wanted to help spread this inspirational meme and thus on my photography facebook page (Click Here) I have it posted. Any re-shares of the post have a chance to win the image as a signed print. Help spread the message!

Still shocked it has had such reach!
