This show season has been a rough one with more cancellations than events due to weather. For my part of the country is has been a really rainy and wet season resulting in very wet and dangerous ground for the fast ponies to run in.
This is expected, we cannot control the weather and so some years we have less shows than others. For me as a photographer I call it a down year, which I had decided this year was going to be when I purposely decided to take it easy to rest, and recover from the last two years and releasing a book. But it is still hard when things you enjoy aren’t happening.
That being said the shows I did get to attend where a bunch of fun, no stress, catching up and shooting. I have some great images and was able to just enjoy having a camera in my hand. The last show was at my local saddle club and I love many of the shots. Check out a few favorites and the gallery below.
