My 4th top image returns back to the Ranching event. It was fall but the sunlight filtering through the open door where the competitors were doing their cattle work was a complex shooting challenge.
It was a back light that was perfect for silhouettes but hard to capture well exposed action. Most of my images was sacrificing the nature through the door to enhance the action but this image, is different.
I wanted to highlight the fall scene, the light spilling through the door and the cattle with the rider calming walking into the herd.
It’s a sedate, yet truly beautiful western moment ❤️
