Back in May my sisters Mare and her friends had their Foals. I as the ever dedicated photographer made a trip out to the barn to photograph the babies.
It turned into quite the excursion. While the photographing went well it was the drive home that inevitable proved difficult. After spending several hours at the barn playing with babies, horses, kitties, and puppies. Taking a nice handful of images we decided to call it a day after dark…
After dark brought the issues. I was five miles from my house when a deer leapt in front of my car so close I had no time to stop, serve, or slow down. I hit it at speed and took some damage to the car. Luckily it is repairable and I am fine, the camera was thrown forward but the camera bag padding did its job.
