2021 wasn’t filled with as much photography as I would have liked. It was a busy year, a break even year, but I was in office working on building my brand beyond photography. I am a photographer but also an artist, graphic designer, and soon I plan to add author to my list of identifiers. Yes I spent a lot of 2021 writing my memoir Glass Eyes: A Photographers Journey that I am happy to announce will be released this year.
The photography I did get to do was fun, filled with horse shows and portraiture. I am looking forward to what 2022 brings. Check out my top 10 shots of 2021 below.
#1 Looking Down
Purple Tulip shot in April 2021
#2 Aubrey
From our November Fall shoot.
#3 Horse Portrait
Taken at a June horse show.
#4 Herd on the Hill
Taken in early Spring 2021 and officially licensed for sale on Getty Images.
#5 Carwash
My sister wanted to join the Tiktok trend in June so we did a Jeep wash shoot. It was fun if not difficult keeping her on the hood and getting a decent angle because we are both short!
#6 Book Burning
My coworker whom I have diligently worked to get addicted to photography wanted help with this session with her sister. They graciously allowed me a few shots to edit in my style.
#7 Self Portrait
I was feeling myself a few months back and took this photo. Probably one of the few images of me to exist in 2021.
#8 Beautiful Light
I just really love the light and comp of this shot.
#9 Light Up Puppy
One on the Christmas photos I did with my pupper.
#10 Barrel Racer
I have 100’s of these and it’s so hard to choose a favorite but I love watching this grey horse at shows.
