The final performance my friends and I took in at the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival was the sword demonstration by The Duelist. As a photographer the idea of shooting a sword fight is like yes! even if I have never seen the performance and was less than sure of getting decent shots.
I needn’t have worried though because it was more a demonstration than a true at speed fight— much sad, would have loved to see it at speed. For me as an action photographer it is actually harder to shoot slowed down things because you can read the unnatural movements, and see things the naked eye over looks clear as day.
I struggled with the Duelist, but ultimately I also think I got a few decent shots. Check them out below!
