Re-Introducing Tiffany & Exposure One Studios

Gosh, it has been roughly 3 years since the last time I did a quick hello this is who I am blog or social media post. Mostly because it never occurs to me to do them, and because for the most part I dislike talking about myself. But a las it is time to bite that particular bullet.

Hi, I am Tiffany the creator and expert camera holder that makes up the business/brand name Exposure One Studios. I am a resident of Ohio, an avid reader, an author (Glass Eyes: A Photographers Journey), and a world traveler (17+ countries and counting) as well as photographer who travels all over for sessions with clients.

My love of the arts started at the age of 8 when I got the absolute brilliant idea to learn to draw and paint. So I proceeded to spend hours a day for the next 11+ years practicing drawing and painting to become an artist. I took classes, and advanced classes that eventually put the camera in my hand and changed my focus from the fine arts to the digital arts.

In fact, I was hooked on the camera required for my advanced art classes fairly instantly because it allowed me to produce the art I wanted too in such an easy manner. I didn’t have a natural art talent and had to work hard to produce drawings and paintings I was proud of, but the camera eliminated a lot of my struggles.

As a college student I started my photography business but it wasn’t yet called Exposure One Studios. It was in fact called TB Photography because researching it appeared all photographers used some variation of their names and photos and photography to follow. So that is what I did, and I operated under TB Photography for five years, it is the name where I experimented in all the photographic niches, found my style, made mistakes, learned to run a business and grew my confidence so I could develop into Exposure One Studios.

I was traveling abroad amongst a group of motivated world shakers and changers when I was inspired to change what I had been doing. To grow. In fact I was sitting in the Harbor of Capetown, South Africa in my cross cultural anthropology class, sharing a table with classmates who were actively recruiting investors and working on a business they would launch when we returned stateside.

They were discussing logo ideas and yes, we were not paying attention to the actual discussion of the class but their drive and progress inspired me to really think about what I was doing. How my business could grow and function and what was necessary to do that. Somewhere in those thoughts and that class the idea for Exposure One Studios was born— including the name, I had been sketching my TB Photography logo when I realized that to grow my name had to evolve as well.

It wouldn’t be until 2017 that Exposure One Studios went from a dream to a reality. A reality where I have been an International Pro Rodeo Photographer, had gallery showings, magazine publications, been on talk shows, been recognized in numerous contests, published a memoir, and grown as an artist and also designer.

I have grown so much from finding my niche and learning to shoot in poor lighting, to growing my connections. I have been truly blessed to get to live out my artistic dreams and have the clients support to allow me such a privilege. I have been a professional photographer for 14 years, I spend my time making gorgeous images of equines, their riders, and clients I have meant in all walks of life who have trusted me to be there and capture the most precious moments for their families or businesses.

Thank you all for a great 14 years and here is to many more of amazing photography moments!

As photographers, we have truly special powers and I love getting to bring smiles, tears, and joy to others through my images.
