For those who know me and those who have been following along for awhile you are aware that I spend a few months in my early twenties traveling abroad with a program called Semester at Sea. During that time I was a photographers assistant and traveled the Atlantic Rim for 107 days taking amazing photographs and making even more amazing lifetime friends.
One of those friends resided/s in California which is nearly 3,000 miles away from where I reside in Ohio. Unsurprisingly after our return from abroad while we maintain contact we struggled to find the time or resources to visit each other. Well that changed at the end of September of this year. My friend was fulfilling a lifetime dream of driving coast to coast and routed her trip through my hometown for a quick visit.
Ten years is a long time but it is great to meet up with an old friend and pick up like it was yesterday. Walking the same amount of miles in my hometown as well did in foreign cities, catching up and enjoying each others company.
Check out a few photos of my friend I snagged in my hometown in front of a historic train tunnel.
