Back during Spooky Season— Yes, I know I am behind on these posts but I have had lots of content and been fitting it in however I can— my sister, myself, and my friend Corrie took my niece to her first haunt. As haunt veterans it is fun taking others to their first experiences and seeing the actors jump scares get them and see how they react to decorating and such.
I have been going to haunts since I was seven so we started my niece out a year later at eight. Her first haunt was very local and rather tame to me, but what was important is that she had a grand time. At the end she was greeted with Jersey the Therapy dog for our county, and she go her picture taken with one of the actors of the haunt. I was a proud auntie.
We then took her a second haunt that was longer, more elaborate, and had a larger array of scares. She was spooked and cried by a chainsaw man, but laughing and high-fiving the clowns who were terrifying her mother. Overall I think down the road she is going to have the sarcasm of her mother and apathy of me who gets joy from others terror.
Check out the photos of my niece from her first haunt.
