I do not often attend or go to concerts. Loud noises and flashing lights are hard on someone who suffers from chronic migraine— so yes first I was supremely surprised I did not have a migraine following working this event— however it is fun to photograph them every now and then especially when they occur at events I am shooting pro-bono.
The concert by AttaboyOnline at the Crossroads Farm at the Mine event was a fun challenge for me. They were a high energy band with a lot of lighting changes and movement in a very tight and confined space. I had to work for good shots especially when they were jumping around and whipping their hair every which way.
The photographer in me loved the challenge of capturing great shots and getting shots without all the hair in their faces. I was shooting in a loft above them through the lighting and had a very small window in which there were no obstructions to make shots.
