Adapting to A New Camera

Back in November I purchased a new camera body. At the time I justified it as necessary for an event in which a third, or fourth body would be more useful and time saving that switching lenses in a fast paced environment. However that was a partial truth as my favorite body had a number of years wear and tear and wasn’t as up to date for action photography as a new body was slated to be.

So in came the new and I photographed a wedding with it without much knowing how to use it. There was a lot of trust and it wasn’t the primary shooter at the time.

Come summer and it is time to drag the new camera to horse shows. It is an exciting time taking new equipment out to use. It works like a dream, it is quick, sharp, clear…. and it allows me to shoot double the content because it rebounds faster.

So the surprise came… I am spending more time in edits because I am taking double or triple the number of images I have in previous years. I am excited to push this body to its limits, learn its abilities, and see what I can create with it.

Stay tuned and keep your fingers crossed for great weather for this show season.
