For years I was strictly a photographer but then as time goes on one must adjust and reinvent, add to their skills and grow. So I started to learn graphic design and it has come in incredibly handy as I continue to grow and go after new goals.
Chief among them writing and publishing a book, graphic design has given me the skills to create covers without the need to hire someone, to format the insides without specialty softwares, and to be confident that my products are going to look and feel professional. I spent the better part of half a decade teaching myself to use photoshop to manipulate image and create deeply professional work for print marketing, billboards and now book covers.
As of 03-18-2022 a cover design for an author friend has gone live on her recently published creative writing prompts book. A book that is perfect for those with a passion for writing who want to jump start their creative writing process. The cover was inspired by several of the prompts within the book and I hope it even helps kick start ideas for those pursuing creative writing.
