First Barrel Race of the Summer

Many of you know by now that in the last couple years I haven’t been venturing as far away for photography I as did in the years prior to covid. A lot of it is because of the rising prices and because clients are being more conservative with where they spend their money. A good bit of it is time I have available.

Because of that I have been focusing on shooting a lot of local horse events and even sponsoring some news one the making. I love the equine world and photographing equines is among my favorite things to do.

So this year beyond travel for equine portraits or some hired shows (I have already been to Kentucky this year) I have decided to focus on shooting local barrel races which started with my home counties Saddle Club last month— they will have one show a month.

It was a great evening, not to hot, great light cover and over before it was dark. Check out a few of my favorite images below.
