My 9th favorite image of 2024 comes again from that very first Cattle Shorting Event at Grizzle Ridge Arena. This image is up there not for the horse and rider but for the calf that was leaping at the camera during this capture.
It just displays some of the chaos that sorting can bring. Cattle going in multiple directions; two horse and riders filtering the cattle into another pen. So much is happening that in the blink of an eye a calf can be springing surprisingly close to the lens nearly wiping the photographer out!
