Using the Creative Eye

Back in May one of our local arenas re-opened for business and kicked off the show season for me. It is an arena that I spent time at in my youth and has changed hands enough that shows fell to the way side so seeing it comeback with owners wanting to return it to popularity and business is exciting.

I was happy when I was able to make their first event as a photographer and subsequently return for the rest of their planned events. It was even an honor and exciting to be asked to photograph the venue for marketing purposes.

Arenas can be very challenging to capture from the outside with need to have a wide, wide angle and the inside from lighting perspective. This was a challenge I faced and had to bring a creative eye as well as ultra wide angle lens to help me create images the new arena owners not only loved but could use for marketing purposes.

Check out a few below.
