As a photographer having something relaxing to photograph that isn’t a commissioned job is beyond necessary. Some photographers that thing is portraits, others still life, and for me it is flora— usually when raining with my iPhone.

So much of my work is what my clients want and need that it feels very little shooting is for me and we all start working in the arts for ourselves until it evolves. So I love to shoot at least one thing mostly for me. These photographs can even suck greatly, they are after all just for fun and for me.

Living in Ohio I am blessed with weird and wacky weather which means several shooting options. It has been raining a decent bit and the rose bushes are blooming so I snapped some quick shots. Enjoy.
