I am still playing catch up from my 2024 equine shows and events especially as we entered the winter season with shows still on the books. So I geared my end of November and December blogs toward the holiday’s and end of year leaving several events on the docket to blog in the New Year.

Back in May 2024 Grizzle Ridge Arena re-opened with a contest show and as their season go underway they started bringing in many new events, cattle sorting, roping training, clinics, and now ranching events.

In the beginning of November I got to attend and photograph my first cow cutting, boxing, and ranch riding show. It was a learning curve in some respects because I have never photographed many of these events but I have watched some of them before. Added to that the lighting was especially tricky that day paired with the movement of the horses and cattle. However that made it fun and I got to make some amazing images.
