My Favorite Christmas Gift to Give
So a little non-photography here but it’s Christmas time and I feel it is ok to deviate from my norm. The holidays are always ripe with shopping and finding the perfect gifts and as a creator, artist, and photographer I tend to like to do unique presents. I also adore supporting other artisans so I do start my shopping process pretty early every year.
This is I went hard for unique gifts. I went hard for small businesses because I wanted to put my money where it matters as well. I supported military veteran owned and operated for my marine fathers and older brothers gifts. I used my own photographic talents for my mother and sisters gifts (and my niece the subject they have been begging to take good photos for the last 5 years.) I finally figured out a way for my grandfather to watch slideshows of his images he had me digitize (y’all I have no idea why it took me so long to think of a digital photo frame!)
But my favorite gift is for my aunt. It is artisan made. It is perfect.
It combines her love of Ohio State Football with her love of gnomes but it is 100% function as drink ware for game day. I am enthralled by it and Malette House Creations on etsy. I definitely can not wait for present opening day because I am curious to see if I did as well as I think I did.
Also remember it isn’t important the size or the price of the gift. But the thought that counts!
