I think all photographers struggle to hit a stride in follower growth on social media sites, for a long time I had a great building stride but then I decided to partial retire from rodeo which was what 90% of my posts at that time were about. Then Covid happened and my content is still awesome photography it just isn’t as cohesive as it once was.

Legit guys I am struggling in 2020, depression hit hard when my year got canceled practically over night— I am talking the lost interest in my passion, not charging the camera, no hope, eating to feel something, depression. Then 2021 was just a few things as so many things still struggling to get back online, 2022 depression was back but because I was creatively burnout from writing and publishing a book. So I took all of 2022 off and was ready to hit the ground running 2023 which I did, I made upgrades to equipment, took on a lot of work, and that brought me into 2024 hoping to keep that momentum alive.

And I was excited and happy for that time with the camera, to have something new to share, to be doing what I am good at. It didn’t change the fact the social media growth as become stagnant. Mostly gaining and losing bot accounts. Or getting a lot of profile views but no real followers.

Now I have no idea really what the future of Exposure One Studios looks like but I do know I’d really love to share my work with you all and the best place to see daily content is Instagram and now TikTok !
