Failing at Marketing

As we are all aware I published my first book in February. One would assume writing, editing, formatting, and publishing a book is the real work and they are right and wrong. Marketing is the real work.

And I have been failing at marketing. Once it was published and the reality that is was well and truly done set in, so did a creative depression unlike anything I have ever experienced. In fact I wrote a previous blog post dedicated to that post creative depression.

It didn’t just exhaust and unmotivated me, it killed my drive to even want to market my book, or have any ideas for how to market my book. In fact I didn’t even had any ideas or energy to be on social media and do the things I should have there.

So I did nothing.

I hate myself for doing nothing. But I truly just didn’t/don’t know how to get myself over this and back into the groove. A writer friend did a really creative video of my book that amused me and got me to make a video. Hopefully one day soon I will kick this but until then please check out my book page with links to my book!
