Come Work With Me?

How many photographers out there be you a professional or just starting out would like the opportunity to work with Exposure One Studios for a week this coming June 2020?

Seeking someone wanting to learn and interested in photographing at a 4 day summer equestrian camp. Currently an unpaid position that could evolve into a paid position in the future for someone willing to donate time and talent in the foundational years.

Exposure One Studios has been the only active photographer and as we grow and expand the camp I find I will need help. This is a horse camp so being comfortable with horses, riders, children, and adults is absolutely necessary.

Every day there is a packed schedule and different things happening at different moments. There is no wrong photograph to take but a lot of things that need coverage and I can no longer be in two places at one time.

The beauty of this is I will teach you new tricks and things to look for photographing equestrians as well as aid in networking. You are going to be meeting the next generation of equestrian performers, you can establish yourself with them and set up working engagements for the future!

If you want to get into rodeo and equine photography but do not where to start this is that opportunity. I have a decade of experience and will be doing talks and demos for parents as well as answer any of your questions throughout the weekend. I am at your disposal and ready to help you grow in the photography industry.

In addition to learning photography or new skills while helping a great camp grow into the future, your images will have the opportunity to be feature on future marketing materials and posters for thrill shows for the camp.

Necessary things for those interested in this opportunity:

  1. Camera gear- At least a DSLR camera with 18 mega pixels. Not necessary but more than one lens is always welcome.

  2. Car- It will be necessary to have transportation to the camp, if you are not local to the Belmont County, OH area the closest hotel is a five mile drive from camp (we are still young and have no bunk houses yet.)

  3. Availability- You will be needed June 25th- June 28th 2020. June 25th starting at 3 pm, 26TH & 27 TH at 9 am till late (these are long days at least 10 pm- 11 pm) and Sunday the 28th 9 am- 7:30 pm.

  4. Love Outdoors and Horses- This isn’t the learning opportunity for you if you do not like being outdoors in heat, dust, and dirt for hours or are scared to be around horses and other animals. This camp is hands on so it is absolutely necessary you can handle heat, dirt, and animals because you never know where you may crawl to get the shot.

  5. Willingness to learn- A willingness to learn is a must, at this time because the camp is small and growing we are looking for volunteers to get it off the ground. Food is covered and there is a possibility lodging will be as well (camp director is working on this at present), so what you gain is what those of us with decade of experience can offer. (As the photographer I will answer any questions, editing, business, networking, photo shoots, pricing, so on. If I can help in any way I will- so a great learning experience come with a notebook and questions!)

So if all the above sounds like something you are interested in then this is how you apply.

Send Tiffany (Exposure One Studios) your resume, a brief statement about why you would like to help out the camp and what you’d want to learn from me, and a link/s to your instagram and photography portfolio if you have it. A plus would be to include a list of what photography equipment you own.
