With Covid going on, businesses still being closed, active riots, and well utter 2020 chaos summer camps aren’t really something we think about. Yet finding safe ways to get out of the house and live life is a new reality and that is why we were happy Pass the Torch Leadership Camp got to proceed as scheduled.

The last weekend in June is reserved for an equine summer camp started in 2019 by Shadow Montag to pass the torch in equine showmanship, performance, and industry to the next generation of performers. The first year was a great success but the second succeeded it with an additional day, more events, and non-stop learning.

Camp goers got to learn production, liberty, costuming, roman riding, trick riding, and professionalism as well as leadership in the 4 day camp that cumulated with a 60 minute production where campers got to perform along side professionals in the industry.

It was a fantastic, if not long, tiring, weekend. As a photographer I was running around like a wild woman trying to capture all the moments and camp activities. I was also performing professional photoshoots and training new emerging talent to help me with capturing the camp.

It was exhausting leading a week of edits but I am happy to announce those images went live July 4, 2020.
